Carving a pumpkin? Pet-friendly recipes using the pulp

Are you wondering what to do with left over pumpkin this Halloween?

We have 3 delicious recipes for you to try! You can use stuff-able toys for these tasty treats - or make them Halloween themed by using moulds. You can give these as treats (if your dog gives you a trick!) or as a topper for their dinner to make it that little bit more special.

Did you know?

Pumpkin is a nutritious vegetable for dogs and is often used to support heathy digestion – hence why we use Butternut Squash in our core recipes! Pumpkin is also an excellent source of fibre plus it contains Vitamin A, B6, C, E, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Manganese - so action packed with goodness.

All the pumpkin in these recipes has been used raw and has been blended to a pulp - seeds included.

You need

  • Your favourite Nutriment treats, broken up finely - we like to use turkey liver chews

  • Small cup of pureed pumpkin
  • Bone shaped mould (or similar)

Method

1) Mix the liquid coconut oil with pureed pumpkin.

2) Fill your mould halfway, then sprinkle some of the treats on top.

3) Add another layer of the coconut pumpkin mix.
