Venison refers to the meat of deer and is highly nutritious for dogs. Our lean venison contains quality protein as well as an abundance of other nutrients including vitamin B12, riboflavin, vitamin B6, niacin and iron. Venison is a complete protein for dogs, which means it contains all of the essential amino acids that dogs need to consume as part of their diet. Venison has a rich flavour and is very palatable for dogs, increasing their food enjoyment and adding a variety of flavour to their feeding rotation. The ground bone included in this recipe also contributes to oral hygiene and health. We formulate our Laverstoke range to consist of an 80/10/10 meat/bone/offal ratio for optimal nutrition.
Duck is nutritionally loaded with B-vitamins like niacin and pyridoxine, immune system boosters like zinc and selenium and Omega 3 fatty acids which will promote a healthy coat and skin for your dog. Raw duck meat and bone provides high-quality protein with a naturally low-fat content, making it an ideal food to promote overall canine health. The ground bone included in this recipe also contributes to oral hygiene and health.
Beef offal is a fantastic source of riboflavin, niacin, thiamin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, copper, selenium and iron, as well as being great sources of protein. These are all essential nutrients which contribute to the overall health of dogs, including, heart, skin, bone, blood, digestive, oral and immune system health.
Hypoallergenic Qualities
Venison and duck are often considered novel proteins for dog foods, meaning that they a relatively new protein source and therefore few intolerances towards venison and duck have developed in canines. It is because of this that we can consider this recipe as 'hypoallergenic'. If your dog suffers from allergies or intolerances, we suggest trying one of our hypoallergenic formulas. Symptoms of allergies or intolerances can include unpleasant digestive issues, poor skin and coat health and lack of energy or vitality. As always, if you are concerned about any symptoms your dog is experiencing, consult your vet.

Puppies should be fed 5-6% of their growing body weight and Adult dogs should be fed 2-3% of their ideal body weight.
This is only a guide. Some dogs may need, more or less to maintain proper weight. We recommend feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed of your puppy depends on the age they can move to adult formula, larger puppies can move over sooner, but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.
Puppies
With puppies between 3 – 6 weeks old, you can start on our weaning paste. Just like with babies, you want to introduce plain and simple foods first. Our weaning paste is ground to a paste that will have fine bits of bone, which is great for puppies' teeth and easy for them to digest. The weaning paste is only intended as a supplement to the mother's milk. They should be allowed to suckle first then offer the weaning paste.
After 6 weeks, you can start introducing our puppy food which is still very fine and a simple, bland food. By the time they reach 4 months, you can start introducing the normal formulas.
